Every insert is different — and so is every game. Here are the answers to the questions we get most often.
Will this insert fit my copy of AZUL?
Yes, the insert is fully compatible with AZUL. If you have any questions about a specific edition or uncertainties about expansions, just drop us a line — we're happy to help!
Does the insert also work with sleeved cards?
We test our inserts with Gamegenic sleeves as standard. The most common sleeve sizes (e.g., Standard European, Mini American) therefore usually fit without problems as indicated in the product description.
What are the benefits of using the insert instead of the zip bags?
With the UNSPIELBAR insert, you sort AZUL once – and for the next game night, everything is on the table in under 10 minutes. No rummaging through bags, no toppled stacks. All cards, tokens & resources have a fixed place.
Can I store the game upright/vertically on the shelf with the insert?
Yes, all components are held in place by the insert — nothing slips out of place, even when upright.
How does this insert differ from cheaper alternatives?
Every UNSPIELBAR insert is designed by us in Hamburg and produced on our own 3D printers. We play the games for which we build inserts — you can tell that from details such as spacious trays for flexible sorting, perfectly fitting card holders, or separate compartments for solo components.
Is the insert sustainably produced?
We print with ePLA — a biodegradable filament made from renewable resources. Production is on-demand in Hamburg, there is no mass-produced stock. Short supply chain, no overproduction waste.
What material is the insert made of and how durable is it?
The insert is printed from ePLA. The material is break-resistant with normal game use & slightly flexible, thus more splinter-resistant than injection-molded alternatives. With proper care, it will last for years.
Do I have to glue or assemble the insert?
No, the insert comes as a finished product and is ready to use directly in the box.
What if the insert doesn't fit properly into my box?
Write to us. We produce on our own printers and can easily make direct improvements. Every insert comes with a satisfaction guarantee — we'll make sure it fits.
Is the insert a good gift for board game fans?

Is gift wrapping or a gift option available?
The insert itself makes a strong first impression due to its craftsmanship. In addition, all orders are carefully and high-quality packaged — we are planning a separate packaging option for the future
How long is the delivery time — will it arrive in time for a birthday / Christmas?
The regular delivery time is 2-3 business days. Since each insert is made to order, we recommend ordering gifts with a little lead time — especially during the Christmas season. If you have a specific desired delivery date, simply ask or leave a note during checkout.
