Welcome to 23rd century Earth. Humanity is facing extinction on a dying planet. In a massive effort, the entire population of Earth has joined forces to develop cutting-edge technologies that will allow them to travel beyond the solar system. The various factions that controlled the planet have put aside their differences to ensure that humanity finds a new home.

In Beyond the Sun you are the leader of one of these powerful factions. It is up to you to find a new home among the dozens of habitable planetary systems nearby and lead your followers there. Humanity will survive, but who will control its fate? Your ambitions are as limitless as the galaxy we seek to explore and colonize. Will your faction become the dominant power in this new age?

On their turn, players perform one action available to them on the technology board and then produce resources. The more technologies are researched, the more actions are available to players. Actions allow players to improve their economy, move spaceships, colonize systems, and research new technologies. The game ends when a number of achievements are met, and the faction with the most points secures victory.
