Eclipse - The Second Galactic Age

For many years, the galaxy was a peaceful place. After the merciless war between Terrans and the Hegemony, all major spacefaring species have made great efforts to prevent events from repeating themselves. Nevertheless, tensions are growing among the seven major species and in the Galactic Council. A confrontation seems inevitable.

In Eclipse, players become the leaders of huge, interstellar civilizations and compete with their rivals for supremacy of the galaxy in eight rounds. In each round, players expand their civilization by exploring and colonizing new space sectors, researching technologies, and expanding their space fleet. After the eighth round, the winner is the player who has collected the most points through winning battles, diplomatic alliances, control of sectors and monoliths, discoveries, and technological achievements.
