Description
In the game, each person controls one or more sections - engineering, reconnaissance, science and security - and thus also the crew members who belong to that section. Together, the players embark on an epic journey through distant star systems, are confronted with a wide variety of challenges and have to make difficult decisions that influence the course of the missions.
The cooperative campaign board game is played in two separate parts, which alternate constantly: planetary exploration and ship management. On the more than 20 planets, alien technologies, unexplored life forms, special minerals and much more are waiting to be discovered by the Vanguard crew. On board their ship, they must, among other things, conduct research, produce vital equipment, train the crew members and prepare for the next adventurous missions. The current status of the various ship systems is kept in a large folder.
ISS Vanguard combines strategic and tactical planning with engaging narrative elements and offers an immersive gaming experience with nine high-quality miniatures. In addition to the replayable campaign, some missions can also be played individually. In addition, the base game also contains a tutorial to get you started and - as an alternative to the tutorial - a campaign quick start.
