Orléans (8th edition)

Orléans is about achieving dominance in medieval France through trade, construction and science. The focus is on the city of Orléans and the area around the Loire, where you can undertake trading trips to other cities to obtain coveted goods and build offices.

The trick with Orléans is the way in which you trigger actions. This requires different people such as farmers, craftsmen, knights or monks. Each player puts together his own followers over the course of the game. Each profession has certain advantages. Knights, for example, increase your radius of action and are also needed to accompany you on trading trips. In the village you can hire craftsmen to help build offices and make tools. Scholars are important for driving progress. And last but not least, it is worth becoming active in the monastery, because with the help of the monks you are less at the mercy of fate.

You always want to carry out more actions than you can, and there are many ways to achieve your goal. The game offers a lot of possibilities: you can acquire additional actions, get involved in one area or another. Depending on your strategy, you should choose your followers and all other game elements carefully and coordinate them with one another.

Our new edition of the classic ORLÉANS can now be played with up to 5 players without the additional expansion for the 5th player.
Since many of our partners have already brought this version onto the market, we have adapted the 8th edition accordingly. Of course, the 5th player expansion is still available for customers who already own an ORLÉANS.
The box size has remained unchanged, only the weight has increased.
